I don’t understand why Gap and Yahoo would place a video ad that automatically plays with audio and constantly repeats based on your site navigation. Their ad doesn’t even really sell a product – it’s just filled with rude chatter. Why would they hurt their corporate reputations by doing something like this? Haven’t they ever heard of advertising testing strategy? Don’t they know they both are significantly alienating their customer base by doing something like this? Are they even reading customer feedback? This is probably the worst advertising video I’ve ever seen – they should be embarassed.
Did Gap and Yahoo ever hear of effective advertising strategy?

I was wondering what the idiots that thought that up were thinking myself. Maybe how much they would like to be on unemployment?
Best part is it started playing while i read this
I’m seriously about to stop going on yahoo because of it
Lol I thought my computer had a virus thanks for clearing that up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I suggest that each of you email GAP’s advertising contacts to complain (such as I just did).
Also, another post on the issue said that the ad does not come up if you click on the Canada link at the bottom of this page.
(so far, so good)
I agree with you 100%.
I can’t see the purpose!!!
I have wondered about what is the catch?
It will certainly destroy part of the good reputation!!
yeah that has been annoying me im never going to gap thats for sure
yeah i know they are both stupid and are not listening to anyone, but all i can say is this is not an effective advertising strategy.it made lots of people leave yahoo and they said ill come back when its gone and a lot of people have even said this has p!ssed me off so much that i am not going to shop at GAP anymore
