What industries would advertise in my local town publication?

If I have advertising space in a very localized publication serving a small, middle-class, middle-aged town with 500 subscribers, who would want to advertise in it?

Obviously, local shops… maybe also real-estate, auto, or job-posting ads (with only 500 subscribers, I’m not sure).

    Local papers carry things of interest to the local readers. You have most of it down. Might try with local event planners for showsconcerts or other things that may be coming up. Any other towns near by that want your towns business? They may advertise asl well.
