When should I begin advertising an event to the public?

I need to advertise YMCA events to the public, but I don’t know how soon prior to the event I should begin advertising and what time line I should follow as far as when to use various forms of advertisements

Never too soon! people can start planning if they know well in advance, Also repeat advertising has benefit of being observed more, those who know all about it can just “tune out” so you dont need to worry about saturation. And the benefit is if you get fedbaclk getting near to your attendance levels, you can do less as the event gets closer

It depends on the events themselves. I would say, as a general rule, you should start at least a month before the event. If you have a mailing list of interested people, you can put together a 2 or 3 month calendar and send out info that way to. It really depends though on what events you are having. There is such a thing as “too soon.” It can be a waste of your time and resources.
