its the reason why i am considering never ordering books from amazon again!

i hate not being able to flip thru the book before buying it. had i had a chance to do it with this one, i would have NEVER bought it!

it is one word – dumb.

aimed at primarily sales organizations. and it reminds me of, dunno, knife salesmen and multilevel marketing events where everyone goes “yeah!!” like they’re about to win a war in one decisive battle and not sell cleaning products!

it is useless for an agency person, and it has very very limited use for corporate marketing people.

i don’t know WHO this book is written for.

maybe for people who have never had exposure to anything even remotely resembling marketing.

the writing style is patronizing, and at times irrelevant.

it pisses me off that paid 16 bucks plus 35% s&h on top for this piece of [...].

and what is even more disappointing is that the reviewers before me gave it all those stars.

goes to show how much one can truly trust readers’ reviews.

oooh, disappointing is such a weak word..

I can’t believe a book like this has finally arrived. It’s like getting a $50 text book for $15. I felt like the author was talking directly to me – like having a personal marketing event consultant. It was better than going to a seminar.

Excellent book! Allison hits the nail on the head with her “BLT” approach — brand, lead gen, and thought leadership. A nice, concise manual that reinforces the key tools every marketing professional should know.

I like this book because it is clearly written in a way that is easy to understand and does not try to go over the reader’s head. The author, Allison Saget, recognizes that people are reading the book to learn and not because they already know everything about the world of marketing. She uses her own personal success stories paired with different topics to illustrate the event planning process start to finish in clear detail. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about the world of marketing or event planning.
